HardyWares Summer Tour Continues into the Fall!

We’ve joked that we’ve become middle-aged hippies, travelling throughout Nova Scotia, from festival to festival.

We attended Smokin’ Blues, in Kings County, Harmony Bazaar Women of Song in Shelburne County, Pugwash Harbourfest in Cumberland County, and Kennetcook Days in Hants County; Pop up events & Craft shows in Colchester County, Right Some Good Spring Garden Road Street Festival in Halifax County, and finally the Farmer’s Markets in Dartmouth, Sheet Harbour and Hammonds Plains.

We sometimes stayed with family, friends, and even in the back of the van, accompanied with Larry’s guitar, for the impromptu, “jam session” that would arise.

Many times we’ve worked until after midnight chopping, peeling, cooking and canning. We now carry over 50 varieties in our product line, each created in small batches, ensuring we capture the home-made essence our brand is known for. Family and Friends, who come to visit, assist us with our preparation, and what would appear to be a chore, becomes a social event with endless chatter and laughter.

Now we’re into September, we are booked every weekend, including the Cole Harbour Harvest Festival, the Hants County Exhibition, the Gottingen 250 Street Festival, the Windfall Fine Art & Handcraft Market, as well as our regular Farmer’s Market.

We look forward to seeing familiar and new faces as we venture into the Harvest Season!
